Maybe you have taken one of those paint and drink classes and found it to be fun but you really didnt learn how to paint and you left yearning for true art instruction. Maybe you have always been creative but got too busy with work and children. Maybe you have had a traumatic event and are looking for a method to express your inner spirit. Perhaps you are recently retired or become child free and looking to fill your time. What the reason, The Studio Art Center can help you find your creative side.
The Studio Art Center strives to give a safe environment where individuality is of the utmost importance. TSAC sees art as the ultimate expression of humans as individuals. There is beauty in diversity. We are very much about helping you develop as an artist in your own way on your own schedule and on your own creative path. We strive to be very accomodating and freedom oriented in a loving atmosphere of fellow artists. You can be your true self here with us.
Most classes are taught by Susan W Pidgeon, MFA. She has been teaching in Charleston SC at various locations since 2001 and holds the highest art degree you can have and it enables her to teach on the college level. No need to be intimidated, beginners are welcome at The Studio Art Center. We all have been beginners at some point.
Currently we have spots available in the following classes but please see other available areas of interest under our class descriptions below. If you see something that strikes your eye email us and we might be able to start a class with your interest as the topic. Beginning Jan 2017 TSAC will offer Figure Drawing Classes on Every Other Wed from 630 to 830 PM. $10 !
TSAC has an open door policy. We aim to meet people on the timetable that works best for them. We do offer classes but we also offer appointments. Just call or email us and we will plug you in at a day and time convenient to your schedule!
